Tags: graphicsGraphics Card Redux: GeForce 9During February, March and April nVidia launched its GeForce 9 series graphics hardware with surprisingly little fanfare. Now, a couple of months later, all three of the GF9 series cards are readily available. On the surface the G9x GPUs seem to have only received traditional upgrades like clockspeed increases, but the performance differences and pricing structure make a closer inspection worthwhile. Gigabyte technology has been nice enough to supply us with their ultra-end 9800 GX2 and one of their mid-range 9600 GT based cards for testing. After some benchmarking (and a substantial amount of gaming) the most predominant conclusion that can be drawn for both these cards is that they offer heaps of performance for their respective price range.
